Vivo X70 Pro Plus: In a world filled with loud models, Vivo unexpectedly threw a monster that doesn’t shout for attention but undoubtedly orders respect—the Vivo X70 Pro Plus.
This phone attempts to combine sophistication with brute power and does it with its premium build, top of the line cameras and crafted performance.
But higher expectations come with premium pricing. So does the X70 Pro Plus live up to the hype?
Let’s take a look at what this phone gets right — and where it may fall short.
Design: Sleek, Rugged and Stylish
The X70 Pro Plus immediately gives a serious aura of a flagship out of the box.
While I miss the PureView days of Lumia devices, and the two-tone design they used to have, holding the vegan leather back (also available in a slick glass) immediately tells you you’re dealing with a premium band, and that chunky, rectangular camera module co-engineered with Zeiss lets you know it’s gonna be all business.
It’s on the larger end, however, it’s got curved edges and a metal frame to aid for grip and comfort.
Throw in IP68 dust and water resistance and you’re looking at a device that not only looks good but is built to last.
Display: Truly Flagship-Grade
The screen comes with a 6.78-inch WQHD+ E5 AMOLED display 120Hz refresh rate for a super-smooth experience.
This is one of the best in the segment — it’s bright, it’s sharp, it has lots of contrast. Movies and games look immersive on its display, bolstered by support for HDR10+ and deep blacks.
The LTPO panel changes the refresh rate on the fly, as a result extending battery life without sacrificing motion smoothness. Whether inside or in sunlight this screen just doesn’t disappoint.
Performance: Quick, Smooth and Future-Proof
Under the hood, the X70 Pro Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor, which is mated with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It juggles multitasking, high-end gaming, and video rendering without missing a beat.
Apps open in a flash, switching between them is fast and games — even graphically intensive ones like Genshin Impact or Call of Duty: Mobile — run at their highest settings without any frames being dropped.
Well, yes, it does get a bit warm under sustained load but Vivo’s vapor chamber cooling has everything under control for most of the part.
Cameras: The Star of the Show
The other big partnership here is Vivo’s work with Zeiss. The quad-camera system consist of:
50MP GN1 primary sensor (OIS)
48MP ultra-wide and gimbal-stabilized
12MP portrait sensor (2x zoom)
8MP periscope telephoto (5x optical zoom)
This is as versatile as it comes. Daylight photographs are outstanding — bright colors, sharp and detailed and nearly true-to-life skin tones.
But where it really knocks me out is with the low-light photography. The Zeiss T lens coating* improves clarity even in low light, and reduced flare and ghosting means you’ll get well-defined images even at night.
Portraits are beautiful, with great edge detection and nice, soft background blur. The periscope zoom doesn’t disappoint, even at 10x.
Selfies taken with the 32MP front camera should be social-media-ready, with a decision and dynamic range.
Battery & Charging: The Unsung Champion Ads by shareasale.
You get a spacious battery 4500mAh that will survive through a day of average to heavy use without hiccups.
55W wired and 50W wireless charging mean you’re back up and running in no time. From 0 to 100% takes a little over 50 minutes wired or around an hour wirelessly.
Software: Clean but Highly Customized
This is complemented by Funtouch OS 12 which is built on Android 11 (upgradable) and incorporates a blend of stock Android features and Vivo’s own changes.
It’s incredibly smooth, it’s feature-rich, and much more polished than previous versions, even if it still comes with some bloatware.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
Gorgeous AMOLED screen with LTPO and 120Hz refresh rate

Judgment: A Flagship with a Photographer’s Heart
Vivo X70 Pro Plus:
The Vivo X70 Pro Plus is more than just a phone — it’s a statement. Crisp screen, thunderous insides and possibly the best camera — it’s a phone for those who are not ready to compromise and expect everything, especially when it comes to taking photos from their device.
Yes, it’s a touch more expensive, and the UI won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but when you want a polished flagship that marries power, style and camera innovation, there’s little that the X70 Pro Plus doesn’t get right – and more.
